FFM In the News
The Freedom Foundation of Minnesota just released its report on city-owned golf courses, Municipal Enterprise Funds in Minnesota: Teeing Off on Taxpayers. The scorecard shows that muni-golf enterprise funds lost approximately $2 million in 2007, the most recent year for which comprehensive data are available. At $50 per round, that's the equivalent of about 40,000 rounds of taxpayer-subsidized golf a year. Click here to see KSTP-TV's report on the municipal golf report.
In other news, FFM released a web video responding to legislative leaders' proposal to tax virtually all digital download purchases. The sales tax would apply to music and video downloads, video games, ring tones, electronic books, even e-cards. Click here to view FFM's video.
